Time for a long overdue update ! Sorry guys just haven’t found the time to do it. Well we held our AGM on the 26th October and the same committee was elected yet again. The club is still in a sound financial position and hopefully will stay that way.
Eagle Leather in Melbourne still is a strong supporter of BearsCanberra and continue to be so with a 10% discount on a range of merchandise as well as a discount to some of their workshops. It’s up to us to support them so when you need something to brighten up your life or the one closest to you either check out their web site or if you are in Melbourne, call in and see Brian and the gang and let them know you’re a member of BearsCanberra and I’m sure they’ll look after you.
Again I would like to thank our sponsors Xmas in July this year. Mustang Ranch, for hosting the start of the car tour again this year as well as a donation for the raffle, also for offering any participants of this years weekend a discount to Champions. East West Trading for their generous donation of a gift voucher. Eagle Leather, who as usual show their strong support and donation of merchandise for our raffle. AIDS Action Council for again letting us use their premises for our recovery BBQ on the Sunday and an abundant supply of condoms. Teatro Vivaldi for their donations of wine and dinner vouchers and their support and help with the smooth running of the night. Harbour City Bears for their donations to our raffle. All up we raised $520 for the Trevor Daley Fund presented to Lexi & Andrew at our Anniversary Dinner. Great work! |

Xmas in July this year was a resounding success. The venue Teatro Vivaldi was great, (if you want a terrific meal contact Mark or Anthony) The show that was put on by Moya Simpson and John Shortis had a room full of bears singing along to a great line up of old euro vision songs. Then there was the disco after for the ones that wanted to party on. |
